Spring Grilling Season: 3 Tips for Safety

As the temperatures warm, you’ll likely want to get outside and do some grilling on your building’s deck, patio, or roof deck. Follow these 3 tips for improved safety this grilling season:

  1. Follow your association’s guidelines. The rules are there for your and building’s safety, and they should be followed at all times. For example, certain exterior parts of the building may be made out of materials that make it unsafe to grill in their vicinity.
  2. Follow proper grill placement. Ideally, the grill should be at least 5 feet away from any building walls or structures.
  3. Follow basic grilling safety precautions. Remember the basic grilling rules, such as never leaving a hot grill unattended, and not operating a grill if you’re seriously impaired.

If everyone follows these basic rules, summer grilling season will be fun and safe for all.  More information can be found here.
