2018 Food Drive
We are pleased to announce our 6th Annual Food Drive to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository! Last year, we collected over $1,500 in combined food and monetary donations, which provided roughly 5,500 meals to Chicago residents. Our goal this year is to collect $5,000 in donations, which will provide 15,000 meals!! We will be holding a food drive at participating client locations on December 7th, 2018 to collect food items (more to come on this!). If you would like to make a monetary donation prior to this, please go to www.halesinc.com/donate.

How To: Actually Save Money During Black Friday
- Go into it prepared. Rather than buying things on the fly because it seems like a good deal, think of what you actually need and go into Black Friday with that in mind.
- Don’t buy things on impulse. That’s what sales are for, after all. But no matter how high the discount, don’t buy the item just because you’re “saving money”. If you didn’t need the thing in the first place, then you’re not actually saving money, are you?
- Save your time. If you spend too long waiting for a door buster or browse Amazon for 12 hours, you might not be getting as good of a deal on sales items as you think. Get in, get out, and be done with it.
Q & A
Q: What should I do if I think my building needs more security?
A: Every building should have basic security measures, such as auto-locking front doors. If you think your building needs more security, you should bring this up at your HOA meeting and put it to a vote. Installing cameras or other extra security measures come at a cost and requires buy-in from enough owners in the building.
