Summer is a great reason to celebrate in Chicago. These are the best neighborhood festivals and outdoor events to check out this year.

Millennium Park Summer Film Series
Tuesdays at 6:30 until August 30th on the Great Lawn. The Millennium Park screens classic films on a 40-foot screen. For the complete schedule, click here.

Windy City Smokeout
July 15 – 17 brings BBQ, Music and Beer together along the Chicago River on Grand Ave. Headlining country music acts, twenty different food and BBQ trucks will fill the street. For tickets and more information, visit here.

Chicago Craft Beer Festival
Nearly 70 craft breweries call Chicago home. Sample 80 beers from 40 local breweries at the Craft Beer Festival July 23-24 on Sheffield and Webster in the DePaul Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Wicker Park Fest
Called Chicago’s Best Street Festival of the summer, Wicker Park Fest returns to Milwaukee Avenue July 23rd and 24th. Featuring cutting edge music, arts, vendors, and family friendly entertainment and games. For more information, click here.

Taste of Lincoln Avenue
August 6-7 marks the return of Taste of Lincoln Avenue, a Chicago staple for 33 years. Over 6 blocks of Lincoln Park will offer 250 vendors, 30 music acts and dozens of more ways to entertain the whole family. Taste of Lincoln Avenue is part of the Wrightwood Neighborhood between Fullerton and Wrightwood. For music lineup, visit here.

Wrigleyville Summerfest
Chicago’s most popular neighborhood, the home of the Chicago Cubs, offers a neighborhood summer festival August 6 and 7 at Seminary and School Street. Music, food trucks, and a Kids Zone are all on hand to benefit neighborhood organizations.
