Chicagoans are always on the lookout for a new brunch spot, and one of our recent favorites is West Town’s Feed.
This southern-inspired breakfast joint specializes in roasted chicken, biscuits and cornbread, country-fried steak, and (of course) grits. These come alongside the more traditional omelettes, skillets, pancakes, and french toast. Whatever you end up ordering at Feed, adding bacon is always an option!
On the weekends, unless you go early, you can expect a 15-20 wait, which is significantly better than any restaurant in River North or the West Loop. Now that the weather is nice, you might also want to try out the back patio. Prices are very reasonable, though make note that Feed is cash-only (there’s an ATM on the premises).
The decor definitely falls on the casual side (it complements the food well), and features more chickens, in every shape and form, than you can possibly count.
Feed is located at 2803 W. Chicago Ave. in West Town, and is open 7 days a week. If you’d like, you can also read some Yelp reviews.
