Restaurant Openings: 3 New Chicago Restaurants to Try

The rate at which new restaurants open is a testament to Chicago’s never-dull bar and restaurant scene. Here are 3 new dining digs on our radar to try this month:

Punch Bowl Social

While it’s a little ways outside of the city, in Schaumburg (1001 National Pkwy), Punch Bowl Social is worth the trek for a full evening of Big Lebowski-style entertainment. Take three floors of bowling, shuffleboard, vintage arcade games, mix it with tongue-in-cheek cocktails (think: Monty Python) and seriously good gourmet pub fare, and you have a winning combination for good old-fashioned fun.

The Northman

From the team at Fountainhead, The Northman is set to open in February at 4337 N. Lincoln Ave. The city’s first cider bar will serve French and English bistro and pub style food to go with the 100 plus varieties of hard ciders, available on tap and in bottles and cans.

Kimski

What do you get when you mix Korean and Polish food is not an oft-asked question. However, at Kimski, you get just that. A creative mix of Polish and Korean food, Kimski opening at 960 W. 31 St. is worth checking out just to see what they’ll come up with next. Think Polish sausage with kimchi, potstickers filled with traditional pierogi fillings, and more. Set to open in early 2016, we’re hoping it will be soon!

See something you like but just don’t want to head out in the cold? There’s always Uber lunch delivery services to stay in and warm.
